Friday March 4
Burpees/Brews
- Where: Pittsburgh North Fitness- Wexford
- When: 5:00pm-8:00pm
- Cost: $35
- Sponsored by Pittsburgh North Fitness, this event is raising money for Make-A-Wish. Get your workout on and sample some beer-all for a great cause! Check out the link for details on registering.
The March of Ides Festival
- Where: Hollywood Theater- Dormont
- When: 7:00pm
- Cost: $10
- Head out to Dormont for an evening with some great Pittsburgh bands and comics. The show is all ages, and will feature Andre Costello & The Cool Minors, Chrome Moses, Derek Minto, Holly Price, and many others!
Miller and The Other Sinners w. Terrance Vaughn Band
- Where: Pittsburgh Winery- Strip District
- When: 9:00pm
- Cost: $15
- The Pittsburgh Winery has been killing it with its schedule lately, and this show keeps that up. Miller and The Other Sinners is a band from Buffalo, NY that combines blues, Americana, and more into their “Southern Soul” style. Also with them, Terrance Vaughn Trio from Pittsburgh features covers of popular songs with a funk twist.
Saturday March 5
Strange, Rare, and Unusual Sightings
- Where: Cabela’s – Wheeling, WV
- When: Saturday and Sunday 10:00am-4:00pm
- Cost: FREE
- AKA Bigfoot Convention. I attended with my dad 2 years ago, and this event features presentations from enthusiast groups from the Tri-State area discussing their experiences. There will also be a presentation on the more scientific side of the idea of existence of Bigfoot. Either way, it is really a fascinating event, and it is definitely family friendly.
Cocktail Lab
- Where: Mixtape- Strip District
- When: 6:00pm-8:00pm
- Cost: $35
- Learn how to craft 3 classic New Orleans cocktails. In this hands-on class, you’ll craft and drink Milk Punch, Sazerac, and Hurricane cocktails. You’ll also receive recipes to take home to help recreate your masterpiece.
Sunday March 6
Tetto Tiki
- Where: Sienna Mercato- Downtown Pittsburgh Cultural District
- When: 4:00pm
- Cost: FREE
- Sienna Mercato’s rooftop beer garden is getting a Polynesian twist on Sundays. Enjoy Polynesian cocktails and food in their tropical atmosphere!
Wine Dinner- Irish Fare with a Twist
- Where: The Upper Crust Italian Bistro- Washington
- When: 4:00pm
- Cost: $50 a person, reservations required
- The Washington Winery and The Upper Crust Italian Bistro are partnering up to bring you their second wine dinner. The chef will create 5 specialty Irish dishes with a little change up, and each dish will be paired with a new wine. Click the link for information on how to make your reservations!
Women of Ireland
- Where: The Palace Theater- Greensburg
- When: 7:30pm
- Cost: Tickets starting at $24
- If you are a fan of Celtic music/dancing, this show is a must see. The step dancers in the show are former lead dancers from Riverdance and Lord of the Dance , and there will of course be some crazy fiddle playing. Check out the link for more information and a sample video of the show!
